On Wednesday on June 24th of 2026 an earthquake of the magnitude 7.2 and subsequent earthquake of magnitude 7.5 have hit Venezuela.
The earthquake epicenter was in North-Central Venezuela, with the state most affected being Yaracuy.
People are left injured and without a roof over their heads. Estimates suggest that up to 10,000 fatalities might be the case.

Building on these long-term relationships, they are activating the Local Responders Fund — a rapid funding mechanism that provides flexible support directly to local organisations, volunteer networks, and community groups.
These local responders are often the first to reach affected communities after disasters, particularly in areas that remain difficult to access.
